In the fall of 2021, a 5-story apartment building was completed at Kauppatie 2 in Tuusula’s Hyrylä district. The ground floor of the building features a stroller storage room, outdoor equipment storage rooms, technical facilities, and individual warm storage units with mesh walls, as well as a civil defense shelter.

The rent includes a 50 M DNA broadband connection and the use of the laundry room and drying room. The tenants can organize community events or book the common room for private occasions. The water fee is €17/person/month, adjusted twice a year based on consumption. Two saunas in the building can be reserved through an electronic booking system, with a sauna session costing €5 each. Pets are welcome.

The building is entirely non-smoking. As it is a rental housing company financed with ARA’s short-term interest subsidy, there are income limits for the apartments.

Hyrylä as a residential area

Hyrylä is one of the centers of Tuusula municipality, offering comprehensive services right on the edge of the Helsinki metropolitan area. This charming area is perfect for tenants of all ages, providing daycare centers, schools, and other amenities to simplify daily life. Hyrylä also boasts excellent recreational opportunities, such as the Tuusula Swimming Hall and Sports Center. Additionally, the cultural and natural attractions along Tuusula’s Rantatie are nearby.

Hyrylä has a wide range of shopping and dining options, including supermarkets, specialty shops, cozy cafes, and restaurants. The area also has a health center.

Public transportation in Hyrylä is well-developed, with bus routes connecting to Helsinki, Kerava, and Järvenpää. The journey to Helsinki city center by car via the highway takes just over half an hour. The nearest railway station is in Kerava, providing additional commuting options.

Kauppatie 2 apartments

The building is located at the corner of Kauppatie and Hyryläntie. The complex consists of one two-entrance apartment building and a two-level parking garage, with a total of 89 apartments. There are 34 studios, 37 one-bedroom apartments, and 18 two-bedroom apartments.

The apartments are equipped with high-quality materials. The living area floors are laminate, and the bathrooms and toilets have ceramic floor tiles. The apartment walls are painted.

Each apartment has a ventilation unit and electric underfloor heating in the bathrooms, the cost of which is covered by the tenant in their electricity bill. Additionally, the apartments are equipped with an ABB KNX device, allowing tenants to control the apartment’s temperature, ventilation, lighting, and intercom.
