Details

A 6-story house for artists was completed in September 2023 in the culturally and historically valuable Pöytäalho area of Järvenpää. The building includes 50 rental apartments, 20 of which are leased to performing arts professionals. The top floor features four loft studio apartments with ceiling heights of up to five meters.

The building’s facade and stairwell walls display graphic artworks by local artist Susanna Autio.

There are excellent common areas, including a communal sauna, a laundry room, and a resident space with ample storage options. The resident space can be used for both communal events and private gatherings, and it can also be reserved for short-term use as a workspace for artistic endeavors.

For storage, tenants have access to apartment-specific storage rooms, an outdoor equipment storage area, and a stroller storage room. The cozy courtyard offers a playground for children, a lounging area, and a grill pavilion for communal use. A separate bicycle storage room includes facilities for charging electric bikes, with a dedicated battery charging cabinet.

There are a total of 34 parking spaces for car owners, including 2 guest spaces. Seven of the parking spaces are equipped for electric vehicle charging.

The building is smoke-free, with smoking prohibited throughout the entire property. The project is financed with short-term interest subsidies from ARA, which means income limits apply to the apartments.
