Sorakuja 5 is a two-building complex located next to Asolanväylä, consisting of a three-story elevator-free apartment building completed in 1992. There are a total of 55 apartments in the building, which were renovated to like-new condition in 2020. As part of the renovation, the apartments received new surfaces, fixtures, and appliances. In addition to new surfaces, the bathrooms and kitchens were equipped with new fixtures and appliances, including a dishwasher and a ceramic stove with convection oven.

The buildings offer communal facilities to facilitate living and storage, including a free laundry room and drying rooms, storage units for personal belongings, a basement, and a resident lounge where tenants can organize events for both fellow residents and personal needs, such as children’s parties or graduation celebrations. Simonkylä residential area

Simonkylä is a very nature-oriented neighborhood, with settlements literally built in the middle of greenery. At the northern tip of the area lies the large Simonkylä Park with its ski trails and fields. Along the southern and western edges of the park are two pond areas: Hiirilammet and Ristisillanlammet. Ristisillanlammet has a carpet washing place and next to it is Möskäri Hill, which is a famous sledding spot in winter. From Möskäri Hill, you can also find exercise stairs. Simonkylä residents appreciate the abundant nature and peace of their area, as well as the good services and transportation connections.

The area has several daycare centers, as well as Simonkallio Lower School and Simonkylä Upper School. Commercial services include the small Simonkallio shopping center and local stores. On the Koivukylä side, residents are served by K-Citymarket Koivukylä. A special feature of Simonkylä is the Vanamontie gas station, designed by architect Matti Suuronen in the style of Casa Finlandia.

Tikkurila swimming hall and bowling alley are a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from home. Tikkurila also offers a variety of shops and restaurants, Heureka Science Center, and excellent transportation connections. Jumbo Shopping Center and Flamingo are just over a 10-minute drive away, as is Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

The main transport links are Leinelä, Hiekkaharju, and Tikkurila railway stations, buses passing through the area, and the nearby Asolanväylä. The property is located in HSL Zone C.

Sorakuja 5 apartments

There are a total of 55 apartments in the buildings, ranging in size from 44.5 to 80.5 square meters, offering two-bedroom and three-bedroom options. The apartments are suitable for both cohabitants and families. Pets are welcome.

The floors of the apartments are vinyl planks, and the bathrooms are tiled. The kitchens are equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic stoves, and a fridge-freezer. Water and a 50 Mbit/s internet connection from DNA are included in the rent. Glazed balconies are available in all apartments.

Smoking is prohibited indoors, and there are income limits for all apartments.
